Edinburgh Festival Rentals was acquired by the Rettie Group, following eight years as part of Destiny Scotland. Edinburgh Festival Rentals is a well-established and trusted name for the supply of festival accommodation and maintains strong relationships with all the major agencies bringing acts to the festival each year.  Today we are based at 4 Jamaica Street, and the team work to secure festival accommodation and year round short lets.

Director

Louise is responsible for operations in Edinburgh Festival Rentals, as well as Rettie and Co. Short Lets, which focuses on the letting and management of accommodation for the Edinburgh Festival as well as year round short stays.

Prior to taking on her current role, Louise joined Rettie and Co. in 2006 and built up substantial experience in the Rettie Lettings department, having been engaged as both a letting agent and property manager during her time with the firm. This extensive experience in both long and short term lets gives Louise the depth of perspective required to advise clients on the course of action best suited to their circumstances and their specific asset.

Louise read Geography, Economic and Social History at the University of Edinburgh, graduating in 2006 with MA (hons).

Stuart Montgomery

Managing Director

Stuart joined Rettie & Co. in 2013 following a period of consultancy work with the firm and was appointed Director of Lettings in 2014 with responsibility for the group’s lettings business operating from offices in Edinburgh, Glasgow and Melrose.

With a background in private equity transactions, Stuart also focusses on the planning and integration of strategic acquisitions which to date have included the Glasgow portfolio of Ryden Lettings in 2013 and Edinburgh Festival Rentals which was purchased from the Destiny Scotland Group in 2014.

Prior to joining Rettie & Co. Stuart ran an Edinburgh based letting agency on behalf of a privately held investment holding company before leading the business to a successful exit in 2012.
Stuart read accountancy at the University of Dundee graduating with the BACC before moving into property.

Michelle Mason

Michelle Mason

Short Lets Manager

Michelle joined Edinburgh Festival Rentals in 2017 as the Short Lets Manager. Having lived in Edinburgh for many years, she knows the city well and enjoys matching guest’s requirements to their ideal property in locations all over Edinburgh. Michelle previously worked for another Short Lets provider and has built substantial knowledge of the festival and short let’s sector. Prior to her time in property, Michelle worked with the Scotsman Publications, and in National Broadcast News for Reuters and Sky News.

Andrew Landsburgh

Non-executive Director

Andrew started Edinburgh Festival Rentals as part of Destiny Scotland Group in 2006. The company has grown steadily since then by matching hundreds of properties across Edinburgh with visitors and performers from all over the world. Edinburgh Festival Rentals’ landlords and guests now benefit from being part of a larger infrastructure of Rettie & Co. while continuing to maintain the good relationships built up by Andrew and Destiny Scotland in the previous years. Andrew is on hand to pass on his practical experience and knowledge gained during his ownership.

Andrew read Law at the University of Edinburgh, graduating in 2004 with LLB (Hons).

Receptionist

Grant joined the team in 2016 as a receptionist. Grant previously worked in the logistics industry and graduated from Edinburgh Napier University in 2012 with a BA in Business Management.
