Edinburgh is a beautiful city, with much to offer year round, but the summer months see the city come alive hosting a variety of annual festivals. The Edinburgh International Festival was established in 1947 in a post war effort to “provide a platform for the flowering of the human spirit”. In the same year theatrical companies also came to the city and started what is now commonly known as the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
Now known as the Festival City, there is no better location to host such a variety of events than the Scottish Capital. Each year sees thousands of visitors and performers visit Edinburgh, and we are delighted to share this with so many people.
From the charm of the Old Town to the beautiful Georgian streets of the New Town, Edinburgh is a city of contrasts, mixing historic attractions, gardens, shopping, lovely restaurants and cafes as well as the entertainment provided by the different festivals.
Please find a list of dates and website links below, which we hope will come in useful when you are planning and stay in the city, and of course Edinburgh Festival Rentals is here to help you find the right accommodation for your visit.
